After 3 days of Income Tax probe, Taapsee Pannu breaks her silence on the issue
Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu took to social media to clear her stance on the alleged Income Tax case. The actress' home was raided by the department on March 3, 2021.
The Income Tax Department on March 3 began raids on the homes and offices of Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu and filmmaker Anurag Kashyap as well. As per reports, the search was a part of a tax evasion probe against Phantom Films, a now-defunct production house that was founded by Kashyap, director Vikramaditya Motwane, producer Madhu Mantena and Vikas Bahl.
After 3 days of the probe, the actress took to social media to clear her stance on the issue. She shared a series of tweets and mentioned how she is no longer 'Sasti'.
Taapsee wrote, "3 days of intense search of 3 things primarily 1. The keys of the “alleged” bungalow that I apparently own in Paris. Because summer holidays are around the corner."
"2. The “alleged” receipt worth 5 crores to frame n keep for future pitching coz I’ve been refused that money before."
She concluded the tweet with, "3. My memory of 2013 raid that happened with me according to our honourable finance minister P.S- “not so sasti” anymore."
